It's Gameday! The bye week has been very good for the Bills. We have no major injuries to report. Multiple chronic injuries have been followed over the week but we have only 1 questionable player and this isn't very questionable.
Dawson Knox returned from IR this week and was a full participant all week this is right on schedule with a thermal repair of his wrist ligaments. It's been reported that he has been catching passes without pain and blocking without discomfort. This makes me think he will be active today and a big piece of the game plan
Josh Allen listed with his shoulder. Full participant and with a week off and extra therapy he should be ready to go and play his usual great game against KC.
Dane Jackson cleared concussion protocol and is a full go. Will likely be CB3 behind Doulas and Benford. Good solid depth in the CB position again
Taylor Rapp had neck injury several weeks ago and missed the Eagles game. His severe stinger/Burner has resolved and he was a full go all week. Good to have him back behind Poyer and Hyde. He's big fans and hits hard
Leonard Floyd hurt his wrist in the Eagles game but has been a full participant so he shouldn't have any restrictions and hopefully can get his next sack against Mahomes.
Dalton Kincaid was added to the report this week with a thumb injury. No real specific diagnosis and he has been a full participant. With Knox coming back the question will be who can catch the ball and block the best. I'm sure he'll play and probably still get the majority of snaps since Knox is just coming back
Kaiir Elam is practicing but wasn't activated yesterday so he is out for today. Coming back from the high ankle sprain and Dane Jackson's return will keep him off the active roster for now.
Everyone else is healthy and ready for the Big Game.
KC has several players who are out this week that could help us significantly.
Isiah Pacheco is out with a shoulder injury. This leaves Edward's Elair as the primary running back. Not much of a drop off there.
OT Donovan Smith is out with a neck issue. That puts a rookie starting at tackle against the Bills D line. This could be the major factor in KC protecting Mahomes. Pay attention to this
Safety Bryan Cook is out with an ankle. This creates a little more issue in the KC secondary that could allow Davis, Shakir or Kincaid to have a big game.
LB Drue Tranquil is out with a concussion which could help Kincaid or Knox have some big catches in the middle
KC doesn't have any others that are questionable but the is the fact that Mahomes has a listing of a pectoral injury. If this is more significant he may have some limitations on his escape game and possibly his passing mechanics. Keep an eye on him early as he tries to escape from Floyd and Groot.
That should cover the majority of concerns. Everyone have a great gameday and Goooo Bills!
